This was the first movie which I saw of Gaspar Noé and I must admit that it was phenomenal. The director has taken the audience, on a roller coaster ride with excellent music and cinematography. The camera movements and continuous shot, with intense story kept audiences on edge of their seat. The movie starts with a troupe of young dancers gathers in a remote and empty school building to rehearse. That celebration turns out into a nightmare when one of the dancers drink is been laced with potent LSD. The eye of the camera reveals incredible dance skills, a hypnotizing choreography and the paranoia that grows in intensity to climax. Life and death presented as terrifying experiences and the endless music that maintains an exhausting atmosphere, make you remember this movie for a long time. There were some moments which were humorous and some were dark. In all its a must watch movie for an insane and terrifying experience. MY RATINGS: 10/10
This movie is in the continuation of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'. The story has many things to offer, therefore in some sequences, audience may feel that a lot of information are provided in small amount of time. Also, audience also needs to know some i nformation or ester eggs provided in 'Harry Potter' series. Cinematography is pretty good and visual effects are impressive as they convince the authenticity of that location and characters (especially creatures/beasts). The character Grindelwald played by Johnny Depp is amazing as it looks creepy and totally shines in the entire movie. Albus Dumbledore played by Jude Law has also done a great job as we can clearly see his emotional connection with Grindelwald. The mystery that movie unfolds in the end is unforgettable and will make audience think on it, after watching the movie. In all this movie is a good mixture of humor and action.
